FLOOR SANDING AND SEALING
|

Hardwood Flooring whether lacquered, oiled or waxed will require resurfacing at some stage of its life
to restore the floor to its former glory. Often referred to as Sanding and Sealing, these works should
only be carried out by professional tradesmen to achieve the ultimate surface finish.

We offer the following services for commercial and residential properties :-

| FLOOR SANDING AND SEALING |

We remove the existing surface finish and use a machine screening process to achieve an ultra
fine finish. We then apply several coats of commercially rated floor seal / lacquer with additional
coats to stairs and other high traffic areas.
|
|
We use floor seal products designed to be low maintenance that only require vacuuming,
mopping and a simple application of protective polish once or twice a year.

| FLOOR SANDING AND OILING/WAXING |
|
|
|
We use the above floor sanding process to achieve an ultra fine finish and then apply several
coats of commercially rated floor oil/wax with additional coats to stairs and high traffic areas.
|
|
Kindly note that oiled floors need to be regularly re-oiled/dressed and are therefore regarded
as high maintenance floors.
|
|
|
|
|
Once we have completed the resurfacing works, we provide a quantity of floor care products
along with detailed instructions to assist you with the maintenance of your new floor surface.
|
|
|
The resurfacing process requires all furniture and personal effects to be removed from the area.
Most room sizes take 2-3 days to complete including drying time.
The process should only need to be carried out every 10 years or so depending on the timber species,
level of foot traffic and maintenance regime.
